We can establish and map vehicle geometry for a wide variety of applications.

We can adjust and correct suspension alignment including dynamic change (i.e. bump steer). We can also offer corner weight scaling and adjustment.

Suspension Setup

We are able to establish and map vehicle geometry for a wide variety of applications. We can adjust and correct suspension alignment including dynamic change (i.e. bump steer). We can also offer corner weight scaling and adjustment.

Drag Racing

Our standard suspension setup for Drag Racing involves firstly establishing a ride height that works for the particular application. Then we map the mounting points (at ride height) whether it be a 4 link system, Ladder bar or even a leaf spring suspension with sliders. We then input this data into various computer programmes to create a report on the rear suspension, from which we can select an Instant Centre location prudent to the cars application.

During the setup phase we will establish:

  • All possible Instant Centre locations

  • Usable range of Instant Centres

  • Anti-squat percentages

  • Location of Centre of Gravity

We will also check and adjust if necessary:

  • Axle location side to side (to make sure the axle is in the centre of the car)

  • Axle angle (rear steer)

  • Pinion Angle

  • Suspension Pre-load (using corner weight scales)

Additionally, we will check and adjust the front suspension for:

  • Camber

  • Castor

  • Toe angle

  • Bump steer

Finally, we are able to use many years experience to advise and adjust damper settings and spring rates.

Circuit/Fast Road Cars

For these applications we are able to check and adjust:

Front Suspension -

  • Camber

  • Castor

  • Toe angle

  • Bump steer

Rear suspension (depending on type) -

  • Camber

  • Castor

  • Toe angle

or in the case of a live axle suspension -

  • Axle location side to side (to make sure the axle is in the centre of the car)

  • Axle angle (rear steer)

  • Pinion Angle

We are also able to corner weight cars and adjust to give desired weight distribution and wheel loadings.
